Simplifying personal hygiene

Life is suppose to be simple, but somehow we’ve lost sight of that fact and have allowed ourselves to become brainwashed by all kinds of companies wanting to make us believe we need to use their products. One example are skin products such as expensive anti-aging creams. The truth is, we’re aging faster than we ought to because of what we’re eating and placing on our skin. There is no such thing as a magic pill or lotion.

Just about everything can be cured/fixed/reversed through diet and eliminating toxins. Plain and simple. It is just as important to be aware of what we eat, as well as what we put on our skin because whatever it absorbs, it goes into our blood stream.

If we have dry skin, change your diet.
If you are showing signs of aging, change your diet.
If you have cancer, change your diet.
If you suffer from depression, change your diet.
If you have acne, change your diet.

Change your diet and STOP putting chemicals and toxic products on your skin and hair. Several years ago I stopped using lotions on my skin and extra hair products. I got rid of a lot of make-up as well and nail polishes, etc., etc. I’m much more careful with what I put on my skin and hair to avoid toxic chemicals.

Back in August I suffered from my very first anxiety and panic attack. Never in my life had I experienced such a horrific thing. It truly was the worst experience ever. I took on a very stressful managerial job about three or four years ago. I strongly believe my anxiety and panic attack was caused by that stress along with the crappy food choices I made.

Our bodies can only hang in there for so long before they finally break down. Everything eventually catches up to us.

At the moment when I was experiencing my anxiety and panic attack, I thought I was having a heart attack. Good thing about panic and anxiety attacks is that no one has every died from them (even though you feel like you’re dying when you’re having them.)

I did some research on the topic and learned about a lot of things that can be done to better my mental health naturally. At that time I decided to stop dying my hair. I’m 35 years old and I’ve got A LOT of grey hair. I dye my hair every month because I’m just not ready for grey hair yet. LOL. After I had the anxiety and panic attack, I decided keeping my brain cells healthy was more important than hiding my grey. So for 4 months I went without dying my hair until I learned about Henna.

Henna is a flowering plant used to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather, silk and wool. It has been used as a cosmetic hair dye for 6,000 years. In Ancient Egypt, Cleopatra and Nefertiti were known to have used it. It also acts as an anti-fungal and a preservative for leather and cloth. The flowers have been used to create perfume since ancient times. Henna repels some insect pests and mildew.

Henna’s coloring properties are due to lawsone, a burgundy organic compound that has an affinity for bonding with protein. Lawsone is primarily concentrated in the leaves.

I heard about Henna before, but didn’t know it was used for more than drawing on skin. I was very happy to learn it was also used to dye hair and it was natural and nontoxic. So as you can guess, I purchased some henna online at and colored my hair with it. I was very impressed with the color and how much softer my hair felt. Many people use Henna to condition their hair every month.

The other day I came across an online article talking about washing your hair with baking soda instead of shampoo. I’m all for saving money, as long as it doesn’t cost me my health. A few years ago I switched over to using organic shampoos and conditioners. I don’t know if 100% organic/natural shampoo and conditioners exist, but I wanted to be as close to it as possible. Non-organic shampoo and conditioners are full of chemicals and do more harm than good.

Washing your hair out simply with baking soda and water sounds too good to be true, but I did the research and it’s safe and I’m ready to give it a try. I bought some baking soda last night and will use it this morning when I shower. Organic shampoo and conditioners are quite expensive, I usually pay anywhere between $7.99 and $9.99 for each, and they usually only last about a week and a half because I have a lot of hair.

I’m excited about using the baking soda. I’ll be saving some money now that I’ll be purchasing baking soda for under a buck.

You can also use baking soda to clean and whiten your teeth. Just sprinkle some baking soda in a small dish and dip your damp brush. Another thing to save money on as organic toothpaste can be expensive as well.

Chickens Test Positive for Arsenic

I read this article this morning. It’s not surprising. It’s a reminder to stop eating meat and eat more produce. I’ve been trying to slowly switch over to eating raw, but thanks to this article, I don’t need any more time to switch over. I heard someone say that chickens are tumors with legs. What’s the thing most people eliminate when they go on diets? Red meat. They stock up on chicken breasts and eat them like crazy with their salads, believing it’s healthier for them. Well, neither red meat or poultry is safe to consume. Read the article. I’ve copied and pasted it below, including the web link.

FDA finally admits chicken meat contains
cancer-causing arsenic (but keep eating it, yo!)

(NaturalNews) After years of sweeping the issue under the rug and hoping no one would notice, the FDA has now finally admitted that chicken meat sold in the USA contains arsenic, a cancer-causing toxic chemical that’s fatal in high doses. But the real story is where this arsenic comes from: It’s added to the chicken feed on purpose!

Even worse, the FDA says its own research shows that the arsenic added to the chicken feed ends up in the chicken meat where it is consumed by humans. So for the last sixty years, American consumers who eat conventional chicken have been swallowing arsenic, a known cancer-causing chemical.” target=”_blank

Until this new study, both the poultry industry and the FDA denied that arsenic fed to chickens ended up in their meat. The fairytale excuse story we’ve all been fed for sixty years is that “the arsenic is excreted in the chicken feces.” There’s no scientific basis for making such a claim… it’s just what the poultry industry wanted everybody to believe.

But now the evidence is so undeniable that the manufacturer of the chicken feed product known as Roxarsone has decided to pull the product off the shelves” target=”_blank. And what’s the name of this manufacturer that has been putting arsenic in the chicken feed for all these years? Pfizer, of course — the very same company that makes vaccines containing chemical adjuvants that are injected into children.

Technically, the company making the Roxarsone chicken feed is a subsidiary of Pfizer, called Alpharma LLC. Even though Alpharma now has agreed to pull this toxic feed chemical off the shelves in the United States, it says it won’t necessarily remove it from feed products in other countries unless it is forced by regulators to do so. As reported by AP:

“Scott Brown of Pfizer Animal Health’s Veterinary Medicine Research and Development division said the company also sells the ingredient in about a dozen other countries. He said Pfizer is reaching out to regulatory authorities in those countries and will decide whether to sell it on an individual basis.”” target=”_blank

Arsenic? Eat more!

But even as its arsenic-containing product is pulled off the shelves, the FDA continues its campaign of denial, claiming arsenic in chickens is at such a low level that it’s still safe to eat. This is even as the FDA says arsenic is a carcinogen, meaning it increases the risk of cancer.

(In my opinion, a low level of all kinds of chemicals will lead to a high level of chaos in our bodies. Hello! – Rawnut)

The National Chicken Council agrees with the FDA. In a statement issued in response to the news that Roxarsone would be pulled from feed store shelves, it stated, “Chicken is safe to eat” even while admitting arsenic was used in many flocks grown and sold as chicken meat in the United States.

What’s astonishing about all this is that the FDA tells consumers it’s safe to eat cancer-causing arsenic but it’s dangerous to drink elderberry juice! The FDA recently conducted an armed raid in an elderberry juice manufacturer, accusing it of the “crime” of selling “unapproved drugs.”” target=”_blank Which drugs would those be? The elderberry juice, explains the FDA. You see, the elderberry juice magically becomes a “drug” if you tell people how it can help support good health.

The FDA has also gone after dozens of other companies for selling natural herbal products or nutritional products that enhance and support health. Plus, it’s waging a war on raw milk which it says is dangerous. So now in America, we have a food and drug regulatory agency that says it’s okay to eat arsenic, but dangerous to drink elderberry juice or raw milk.

Eat more poison, in other words, but don’t consume any healing foods. That’s the FDA, killing off Americans one meal at a time while protecting the profits of the very companies that are poisoning us with their deadly ingredients.

Oh, by the way, here’s another sweet little disturbing fact you probably didn’t know about hamburgers and conventional beef: Chicken litter containing arsenic is fed to cows in factory beef operations. So the arsenic that’s pooped out by the chickens gets consumed and concentrated in the tissues of cows, which is then ground into hamburger to be consumed by the clueless masses who don’t even know they’re eating second-hand chicken sh*t.” target=”_blank
